Hidden in a scenic valley of towering pines at the base of Mount Pinos, Sawmill Mountain, and San Emigdio Mountain, Pine Mountain Club sits on over 3,000 acres of private woodland, surrounded and protected by the Los Padres National Forest.

Pine Mountain Club is known as a friendly mountain village reminiscent of California in simpler times. It’s a place where people take the time to stop and say “hello,” where friendships have time to take root, and where life moves at a more relaxed pace.

Pine Mountain Club is one of the few places in Southern California where you can live in the natural beauty of the National Forest, breathe fresh air, enjoy clear blue skies, find adventures in unspoiled landscapes, and experience a true four-season climate with all the amenities of urban and suburban living nearby.

The Pine Mountain Club Golf Course is PGA Rated, beautiful, challenging, and offers some visually stimulating water hazards. The course is semi-private and only open to Pine Mountain Club Property Owners and their Guests and Pine Mountain Club Golf Course Members.

Pine Mountain Village offers residents and visitors a wide variety of shops, businesses, and services conveniently located in the center of Pine Mountain Club.

The Pine Mountain Village is home to annual events like Wine in The Pines, Lilac Festival, Run to the Pines Car Show, and Halloween - Trunk or Treat.

Everything from fairs, festivals, and concerts, to holiday parades, celebrations, and shows are here in Pine Mountain Club to enjoy year-round for residents, guests, and visitors.

Pine Mountain Club is home to annual events like the Lilac Festival, Run to the Pines Car Show, Wine in the Pines, Pine Mountain Club Concert of the Greens, Trunk or Treat, Christmas in the Village, and Fiesta Days in nearby Frazier Park.

HISTORY

Pine Mountain Club was developed in 1971 by Tenneco West based in Bakersfield, a subsidiary of Houston-based Tenneco, to develop 3,200 acres of land inside the Los Padres National Forest at the base of Mount Pinos and Sawmill Mountain.

The master plan called for 1,000 acres of residential and recreational development and 2,200 acres of open space to preserve the natural balance of the environment and way of life for future generations.

LAMPKIN PARK

Located in the heart of Pine Mountain Club and a short walk from the Inn, Lampkin Park features picnic areas, barbecues, gazebo, grassy knolls, and places to relax and enjoy the magnificent forest setting and spectacular views.

The park offers a volleyball sand court, tetherball, and a basketball court. For kids, the park offers a sandy playground and plenty of room to run, swing sets, monkey bars, and slide towers.

FERN'S LAKE

Beautiful Fern’s Lake was named after Fernan Oliver for his dedication to preserving the lake. The lake is fed year-round by a mountain stream and is home to several species of fish including big mouth bass —no need for a fishing license.

Please catch and release. Take a walk around the lake or bring a folding chair and just relax and take in the scenery. Picnic tables are available and leashed pets are welcome. You can even bring your battery or wind-powered radio-control boats.

The lake is open from 8 a.m. to dusk.

CAMPGROUND

The Pine Mountain Club Campground is located at the end of Artic Drive within the Pine Mountain Club property on a shaded pine covered slope area at the base of San Emigdio Mountain.

The campground is open during the warmer spring and summer months and into the fall for Pine Mountain Club property owners and their guests. The Pine Mountain Club Equestrian Center bridle trail and the San Emigdio trail connect to the campground.

CLUBHOUSE

The Clubhouse offers a cozy Lounge with a full bar, a café, decks with golf course and pool views, recreation room, seasonal access swimming pool and lighted tennis and pickleball courts.

The Clubhouse Lounge offers a great selection of beer, fine wines, specialty cocktails, and live music on weekends. The Condor Café is open most week days from 8:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.-7:30 p.m. Thursday – Sunday for dinner. The recreation room offers ping-pong, pool, air hockey, and video games.

SWIMMING POOL

Whether you are looking to relax after a hike in the forest or make relaxation the adventure of the day, you can take advantage of the newly completed seasonal outdoor Swimming Pool and Jacuzzi at the Clubhouse.

Surrounded by loungers and areas of shade, it’s a great place to hang out, get some sun and make a splash. The pool opens in May and closes in October.

TENNIS & PICKLEBALL COURTS

The Pine Mountain Club Tennis and Pickleball Courts feature one of the finest tennis and pickleball courts within the Los Padres National forest. Take in a singles match or bring family members and guests for a doubles set or a game of pickleball. Head over to the Clubhouse Lounge or Condor Café after you’ve taken in a match or two.

You may find it challenging to keep your eyes on the ball with the spectacular views of Mt. Pinos and Sawmill Mountain looking on.

HIKING TRAILS

If you like to hike or meander on trails, Pine Mountain Club offers trailheads that connect directly to Los Padres National Forest from Pine Mountain Club residential streets for residents and guests. These trails vary from fairly flat walking paths to challenging outcropped terrains leading to higher elevations.

The Pine Mountain Club area is also the gateway to over 24 Trailheads spanning over 1,200 miles.

PUBLIC & COMMUNITY SERVICES

Pine Mountain Club offers a host of community and public services that make living in inside the national forest convenient, safer, and more secure.

From a US Post office, County Fire Station with Life-saving Paramedic services and County Sheriff Services to 24/7 Security Patrol, a CERT program, and an Emergency Preparedness Radio Safety Net program that keeps communication lines open between residents if land and cell communications fail.

Water, power, phone, cell phone service, Internet, Computer and Digital Services, and cable TV services are available in Pine Mountain Club.

Currently, cell phone service is provided by Verizon and companies that use Verizon equipment in the Pine Mountain Club area.

TRANSFER SITE

The Pine Mountain Club Transfer Site is located on Pine Mountain Club property and accepts household trash, recyclables, cold ashes, and green and yard waste every day except on Thanksgiving day, Christmas day and New Year's day.

Pine Mountain Club offers residents safe recreational vehicle parking and storage located on Pine Mountain Club property and accessible 24/7. Prices are based per month and on RV length. Discounts are available.

SECURITY PATROL

Pine Mountain Club Security Patrol monitors the community and responds to calls from Pine Mountain Club Members involving minor issues such as bear and wildlife activity, property checks while Members are on vacation, checking on the welfare of Members (welfare checks), and are available when assistance is needed by first-responders during an emergency or crisis situation.

PROPERTY OWNERS ASSOCIATION

The Pine Mountain Club Property Owners Association consists of a board of directors made up of property owners that are appointed for specific periods of time to manage the community on behalf of all members using a group of governing documents that define the rules and practices that must be followed to manage the community and association facilities.
