HIKE. WANDER. RECONNECT.
If you love hiking and nature walks, you won't have far to go. Pine Mountain Club offers residents and guests several trails that begin on residential streets and lead into the beautiful Los Padres National Forest.
The trails range from fairly flat walking paths to challenging terrains with rocky outcroppings, some passing over meandering creeks, through ancient pine forests, and even lead to waterfalls.
Pine Mountain Club also serves as the gateway to over 24 trailheads, with more than 1,200 miles of trails that wind through some of the most beautiful, primitive, and protected wilderness areas in the country.
You'll discover them all here.

WOODLAND WATERFALLS
TRAIL
The Woodland Waterfalls Trail is the shortest and most challenging of the trails. It's just shy of a mile to the falls from the trailhead. The trail winds over rocky slides and outcroppings. Further upstream, you'll encounter a beautiful waterfall that is most active in the spring and early summer months.
The best times to hike the Woodland Waterfalls Trail are between April and July. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a leash. The trail is considered moderately challenging by hikers, and you can choose to stop just short of the falls if you decide not to venture past the boulders and into the rocky streambed.
The Woodland Waterfalls Trail is about 0.6 miles out and back and typically takes about 30 minutes to complete.

ENCHANTED FOREST
TRAIL
A favorite year-round hike for Pine Mountain Club residents and guests is the Enchanted Forest Trail. It takes you along a winding path through a beautiful old pine forest, where many trees have taken on unusual shapes. The meandering alpine seasonal stream adds to the charm of this wonderful hike.
The Enchanted Forest Trail is considered fun and challenging by hikers, with some obstacles along the way. Expect a steady incline, light scrambling, and some downed trees and boulders crossing the trail.
Be prepared for snow and ice during the winter months and into early spring. Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash. The trail is considered moderate by hikers.
The Enchanted Forest Trail is about 1.5 miles out and back and typically takes about 1 hour to complete.

SAN EMIGDIO CANYON
TRAIL
The San Emigdio Canyon Trail follows San Emigdio Creek through a variety of beautiful landscapes, including meadows, forest, and California scrub. You'll encounter a few gates and signs along the way. About halfway through the trail, you'll come across an old "No Trespassing" sign, but the trail clearly continues past it and connects to the Wind Wolves Preserve gate, where the trail continues into the Preserve. Your furry friends are welcome but must be on a leash.
Park in the large turnout on Mil Potrero Highway just before Nesthorn Way heading west. Be sure to have your Pine Mountain Club Member or Guest card with you, as you will be crossing private Pine Mountain Club residential streets and property. The San Emigdio Canyon Trail is considered moderate by hikers.
The trail is about 6.3 miles out and back and typically takes about 2.6 hours to complete.
